It was time

November 5, 2009

It was time to do something with this blog. Although I have no pictures to post, the layout has been changed to something a little bit more interesting than just boring white and blue.

If time permits, pictures shall be forthcoming in the next few weeks. I’m not promising, though.

A verse of encouragement:

We’ve opened up an “About” page now, so that you can get to know the Stouffers a little bit better.

Presbytery 2009

May 19, 2009

This year our church was privileged to host the denomination’s annual presbytery meeting. At times the planning, preparation and work was stressful, but the event went exceedingly well, friends were reunited and made and everyone was greatly encouraged to fellowship, dance, eat, and worship with like-minded believers from across these United States. It was an incredible blessing for our family to be able to not only meet these friends but to host and minister to them in this way. Countless memories were made the past week or so and I’ve only scratched the surface in my mind trying to recount everything, so I’m afraid this first post will be mainly pictures, and mostly of Day 1 because for some reason our photographer was otherwise engaged during the rest of the weekend.

If you’re a blog reader who attended the event and also has pictures, please comment and link to yours.  Enjoy.

Today we were subject to a large rainstorm. There is water coming out of places we’ve never seen and the creek has risen close to three feet in depth and much farther than that in width in some places. If you’ve never been here the pictures probably won’t suffice, but here you go anyway.

The chickens and sheep were involuntarily relocated. The water rose above the egg boxes, according to a report I received.

Thats the driveway, er, was, and that ditch normally is bone dry, whereas now we have another creek!

A Post

April 27, 2009

Recently we had the privilege of celebrating Camille’s 13th birthday (I can’t believe it either). She wanted to go ice skating, which we did, however, we weren’t able to take many pictures while doing so. We did manage to get some good ones later at the Bicentennial Park in downtown Nashville.

Walking through the fountains, and reading the quotes on the marble-y wall.

Impromptu group shot. Doesn’t appear that many of us knew what was happening, then BOOM, the camera hits.

I’ll close with the only picture we got last night of an incredibly enjoyable evening. I think this shot was about 9:30, just after laughing uproariously due to a random burst into the singing of nursery rhymes. Included in the picture are myself, Jacob, the other Chris, Daniel, Kyle, Caleb, Laura, Tricia Ann, and Kaliste.

I’m a little teapot, short and stout

Here is my handle, here is my spout

When I get all steamed up, hear me shout

Just tip me over and pour me out!

An unusual happening!

February 6, 2009

Yesterday afternoon, we saw Daniel walking down the road with what looked like a dead chicken. We were surprised to see that it was actually a dead Crane!

Some of us have thought it would be fun to have a blog in the cats’ point of view, so we’ve opened a new blog for that purpose.  Go check it out!

Busy, Busy, Busy

January 14, 2009

Sorry we have not posted in a long time. It has been busy, busy, busy this week. We have been doing lots of school and stuff like that. The boys put up a fence to hold the pigs in for them to till up the ground. We have also been doing garden planning for this year. I’ll try to keep you updated later.
